Have you ever spent hours trying to choose the best HDRI or EXR for your scene, loading up the image file into your 3D program, only to find out it's not quite correct?

Well, perhaps you should consider Adobe Bridge or better yet XnView, a free alternative. It will let you preview your high dynamic range images thus eliminating the trial and error nature of loading HDRI images into a 3D program.

Essentially it's just an image browser but it also has a few other very handy utilities, namely a batch renamer and batch format editor, allowing you to change a sequence of BMPs to TGAs for example.

Another handy application is HDRVIEW which will allow you to load up a single HDRI and adjust and examine the different exposures.
